Themed workshops taking place every school holiday. Sessions designed for 4-8yrs & 9-12yrs and include either a go on the potter's wheel or work with coloured slips.
Pottery Classes: Weekends - Ruardean Pottery - January 01, 2014 to December 31, 2014
Held most months these pottery classes are designed to develop the skills of throwing on the potters wheel. 
David Melville and Bev Burt - ceramics workshop - December 31, 2014 to January 01, 2015
Workshop open to all ages, making cylinders inspired by Edmund de Waal which will be displayed along with Edmund de Waal's at the exhibition.

Gary will teach you a number of forming techniques and methods of mark making which you can develop over the weekend. 
Mould Making For Slip Cast Ceramics with Ed Bentley - February 04, 2015 to February 06, 2015
These three day residential courses help craft potters, students or anyone wishing to develop their skills in plaster mould making for slip-cast ceramics.   All are welcome to attend, regardless of current skill level and background.

Using throwing and turning techniques in porcelain and stoneware, explore the form and function of teapots and teaware. 
Understanding colour in glazes. Linda Bloomfield - February 09, 2015 to February 15, 2015
Gain an understanding of making and using glazes focusing on how using colouring oxides affects different fluxes in a glaze.

John Evans - Original Alternative Raku Workshop - Sussex - May 22, 2015 to May 25, 2015
The 'Original' workshop course will include the use of burnishing and terra sigillata to provide the smooth and polished surface ideal for these 'naked clay' techniques. There will be tips on how to make work for successful firing, how to achieve those solid blacks and whites and the use of colour in naked raku.
Glaze making and surface explorations: Jim Robison - May 24, 2015 to May 29, 2015
Informative lectures followed by practical experience of mixing raw materials into slips and glazes.
Advanced Raku Workshop with John Evans - June 05, 2015 to June 08, 2015
The ĎAdvanced' workshop for those familiar with burnishing and the use of Terra Sig incorporates a wide range of  fuming and smoking techniques (including a pit-fire)  and will be over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend. Book early Fills up very quickly!
