About Us

Formerly in Derngate, the Primrose Gallery soon became the regions premier Art location and are now at 6, Harborough Road, Northampton in the old Kingsthorpe Bookshop.
We have put shows on at ArtBase in Northampton and are now working on establishing exhibitions in Stony Stratford, Milton Keynes and at Northampton's Museum and Art Gallery.
We believe art should be something you love, something you connect with, and enjoy for many years, not something you are sold.
We try to maintain a standard, an overall quality; beyond that we are non judgemental, and therefore eclectic.
We are all different, we all enjoy different things, and the Art world, as in the greater world, is richer for that. We have many different things here for you to enjoy.
Oils & acrylics, pastels and watercolour paintings, ceramics, glass and sculptures, high quality original artist prints, etchings and limited editions, fine books, artist materials and of course exceptional framing.
Now twice featured on ANGLIA TV, and several times in Art Magazines such as Art Business Today, Picture Business, ART ETC and Art of England. We also sponsor prizes at the Northampton & County Arts Society annual showcase exhibition.
We specialise in fine original art, by living UK resident artists and we travel the country looking for high quality new artwork.
In addition, we have the County's only specialist art materials shop, adding specialist mediums and high-end paint ranges to good quality studio ranges of oil and acrylics for the student artist.
Our award winning framing and art restoration services which include cleaning and art restoration, including re-lining of old canvases, are available on site.
We also hold regular 'Classic' exhibitions; our recent shows have featured signed original lithographs by Marc Chagall, Joan Miro, Eric Gill and David Hockney, Picasso, Henri Mattise and Salvador Dali.
