A mixed exhibition with Paintings and Prints as well as ceramics.
Peter Ilsley
World renowned for his glaze effects, he produces exiting crystalline
glazed porcelain and has recently written an acclaimed book on the
subject.
Sally Shrimpton. A regular exhibitor at the gallery, her latest
range of domestic ware is on show in attractive shades of blue, green
and cream with small flower motifs
Sylvia Bailey: Hand-built stoneware: The pots are made in family groups inspired by nature. Glazes and oxides are used to enhance the forms.
Jim Robison
is the resident Artist and owner of the Gallery. Exhibiting his latest
range of hand built bowls and vases with some interesting new glazes he
is known for his unusual slabware making methods and rich glaze
surfaces. Raised in the USA, much of his work reflects the local
environment of Holmfirth with its dramatic hills, valleys, and dry
stone walls. Painterly surfaces respond to the continually changing
light and weather conditions.
Plus additional work by Gallery Regulars.
The exhibition is completed by a range of shepherds'crooks and walking sticks by local craftsman, Stuart Clayton.
