Current Work

My current work consists of a range of textured ‘pillow’ boxes, dishes, lamps, purses and wall pieces. Each piece is individually hand-built using thin slabs of textured white earthenware paper clay, stretched into shape. Contrasting colours are provided by slips and under-glazes. The textures come mainly from fabrics, and my inspiration from textiles, including quilts, and from precious containers such as reliquaries and purses.

Technical Information

I fire my work to 1040- bisque - and 1120 - glaze- in an electric kiln.
