Artist's StatementI came to pottery through the work and writings of Bernard Leach. That early passion has been modified since by all that I have seen and read. I now find satisfaction and fulfillment in a wide range of styles and techniques. All things clay interest me but the pots I admire most still hearken back to that tradition which has its roots in the simple country pottery of the Far East. Current Work and Availability
Wood fired and gas fired stoneware. Work available from the studio and occasional exhibitions. Technical InformationWood fired kiln 12 cub. ft. and gas kiln 20 cub. ft. fired to Cone 10 in reduction. Glazes are based on local materials (Limestone, various rock dusts and wood ash). Also occasional salt/soda glaze. Career BackgroundSet up Dolmen Pottery at Present address in 1970.
