My work is figurative, narrative and expressive, inspired by stories and themes. Current Work
Coiled earthenware vessels Technical information
For my coiled and pinched vessels I use red earthenware VR Valentine Red and white earthenware clay Potclays White 1141. I mix my own slips, using commercial stains and oxides and clear brush on glaze Potterycrafts P0009 Firing temperature 1030C For my functional work I use H.F. Porcelain, porcelain slips and clear porcelain glaze (Carina Ciscato's recipe), Firing temperature is 1230. Porcelain masks are assembled from thrown strips of porcelain. My modelled sculptural work and tiles are made from Craft Crank Clay 1114 I use an electric kiln. History and Memberships
