Current Work

Current Work

I work with stoneware clay to make high-fired pots for the garden and home.

My work for outside is made using heavily grogged clay and once fired in a gas kiln to 1280 C, with light reduction. The textures and glazes complement the natural elements of the landscape and garden.

This year I have been making some new work, still with a garden theme, using a bold iron slip-glaze. The pots have a dark satin finish, which reflects light to give a silvery sheen.

I have also made vases exploring the effects of ash glazes used over white and red iron slips.
